The Devil[]
Introduction[]
A soldier that paved path for legend, earning his reputation at only twenty years old as the youngest admiral in history. Through his victory over foolish odds, he captured at least a thousand pirates and enslaved a third; becoming the boogieman. His foreboding shanty is sung by pirates that have accepted their death in disease and disaster. Recently, he has constructed an empire called the world government, becoming an emperor.
Beginning[]
The [Redacted] Island[]
Upon [redacted] island, the young admiral had his humble childhood. His mother contracted a disease, from a source that nobody understood. It is said that the well on the island was as deep as the abyss, perchance the source was the well. David, alas but a child, would never find out.
His childhood was filled with pain. Brady, the father, became a fiend for booze and women when his wife became increasingly more ill. In midst of the chaos, he sought for a cure. Alas, once more, the cure was of no understood source and only delayed the inevitable.
The cure could not be produced once more. David, through precarious methods, found the cure in the abyssal well. Brady, in time, took his leave from the island, consumed by his want for more; he sought out a means to complete such a dream.
David would later find that his father became an infamous pirate, the [redacted] pirate became a popular name on the island in but a year. The kid remembered his father's sins and from thereon, he began constructing a raft to escape.
In time, he took his leave, with the promise that one day he would visit his mother once he'd find the cure. Alas, that never happened. David would never return again to his home, for he sought a place where he belonged, a world where the light shone.
